Error- Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook
MS Outlook might just display symptoms of file corruption when the file size exceeds the threshold limit. However, in such events, absence of backup, forces you to repair PST files. Most of the Outlook issues come to notice at a time when you start the application. One such error that is often encountered is mentioned below:
“Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window.”
After the occurrence of this error message, you can neither start MS Outlook 2007 nor open the default profile. However if the error persists, you can re-install MS Outlook. Mentioned below are some of the possible causes of the above error:

Issue with Outlook navigation pane

Outlook profile gets damaged

Outlook pst is corrupt
You can fix the above mentioned issue by:

Resetting navigation pane

Deleting the corrupt Outlook profile and creating new one with all the previous accounts and settings. Then attach old outlook data file (pst) to this new profile

If still MS Outlook is inaccessible, pst file might be damaged. Repair the corrupt pst by running outlook Inbox repair tool (scanpst.exe). this file is located at the following location: \Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12
In case scanpst.exe fails to repair the corrupt pst, fix outlook using a third-party Outlook repair utility.
